Lois Olson, age 86, of the Town of Clayton, passed away on Christmas morning. She was born September 19, 1928, in Neenah to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Hahn) Strusinske. Lois was a 1946 graduate of Neenah High School. From 1947 to 1948 she worked at AAL. On September 22, 1948, Lois married Ruebin Olson at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Clayton. Along with farming with Ruebin she also worked at Salm's Eggs for many years. Lois was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Clayton, and was active in its Ladies Circle and church choir. She was also a member of the Larsen/Winchester Lioness Club, and had volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Mart. Lois enjoyed gardening, and for over 25 years supported the Christian Children's Fund in Honduras.
Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ruebin "Chub" Olson, of the Town of Clayton; three children, Donna (Todd) Allen, of Oshkosh; Jim Olson, of Costa Rica; Julie (Ed) Kromm, of Omro; eight grandchildren, Katie (Pat) Gratton, Amanda Allen, Adam (Leonella) Olson, Jason Olson, Stephanie (Eric) Hawkins, Kari Ann (Brad) Bathke, Nicholas Kromm, Laura Kromm; four great-grandchildren, Madeline and Alex Gratton, Akwa Mia Olson, Jackson Hawkins; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Jacob, of Larsen; Lois Seelow, of Neenah; a special niece, Kay Peterson, of Winneconne; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Lois was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rosa Olson; one sister, five brothers-in-law, and seven sisters-in-law, Wilma and Ernst Hankemeier, Ruth Peterson, Orrin Olson, Doris Lenz, Beatrice Johnson, May Herman, Donald Olson, Bayward Olson, Leo Olson, Marjorie Olson, Ginny Winter, and Bonny Borchert.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, December 29, 2014, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 3703 Fairview Rd. Neenah, and will continue on Tuesday, December 30 at the church from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Meier officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery.

We just learned of Lois' passing today and were so saddened. Our sympathies to Reubin and family. Lois was the loveliest of people that we knew.
