Mark "Bumpa" A. Christensen, age 59, of Winneconne and Spring Hill, Florida, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in Spring Hill, Florida. He was born October 2, 1955, in Racine, Wisconsin to Raymond and Betty (Berens) Christensen. Mark served his country in the U.S. Army. On March 9, 2007, he married Sandra Lewis. He was a self-employed painter until retirement. Mark loved the outdoors, especially riding his Harley, boating, and traveling. He enjoyed music and had a passion for playing the guitar. He also liked the Packers, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife, Sandra Christensen; their seven children and families, Juli and Reese Spensley, of Conyers, Georgia and their nine children; Sgt. Scott and Gretchen Anderson, of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and their three children; Zachary and Sarah Christensen, of Oshkosh and their four children; Nicole and Nick Bouras, of Oshkosh and their three children; Tracy and Darren Lepianka, of Omro and their three children; Stephanie Lewis, of Larsen and her child; Scott Lewis, of Waukau, and his two children. He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Judy Borgardt, of Winneconne; a brother-in-law, CSM George Kaufman, of Omro; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mark in death was his mother and step-father, Betty and Bill Overly; his father, Raymond Christensen; and an aunt, Marjorie VanBerkum.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Gibson officiating. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will follow.
