Audrey M. Weber, age 84, of the town of Vinland, passed away peacefully to eternal life with family at her side Friday, January 30, 2015, at the home of her daughter and caretaker.
She was born May 25, 1930, in Neenah to the late Bruno and Mary (Luebke) Zeinert. Audrey was a 1948 graduate of Neenah High School. On August 21, 1948, she married the love of her life John William Weber, Jr. Together they farmed side by side until 1992 when the cows were sold due to John's health. She then took on the challenge of raising beef cattle until 1996 to keep busy and have life in the barn. Audrey loved animals and many were nursed back to good health by her.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, and the Vinland Center Homemaker's for over 60 years, Four Season Study Club, and Winnebago Holstein Association. Audrey volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store, made quilts with church ladies, loved to sew, bake, can, make crafts, and help her children and grandchildren with 4-H dairy and beef projects. The bird feeders were placed at the window to enjoy an array of feathered friends. Audrey's greatest joys were visits from family, neighbors, and friends, especially her great-grandchildren who always brought her smiles, farm life, dancing, and flower gardens.
Audrey is survived by her devoted daughter, Ann Nelson; grandchildren, Michael J. (Heidi) Nelson, Laurie (Brandon) Cacek; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael R. Julia, and John R. Nelson, Tessa and Augustine J. Cacek; two brothers, Donald Zeinert, Ken (Carol) Zeinert; brothers-in-law, Joseph Weber, Harold Eichstadt; sister-in-law, Irene Liebhauser; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special canine, Belle.
Along with her parents, Audrey was also preceded in death by her husband John; son, Robert William; son-in-law, Michael A. Nelson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, February 5, 2015, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 6 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Murdock Ave. Oshkosh. I meet Audrey 1996 when our snowmobile club was looking to get a trail to the lake. She allowed the trail and every fall since it was always a joy to stop by her place to get permission for the trail. I always enjoyed the talks we had about the old days of snowmobiling, farming and just life in general. She always had a smile and a chuckle along with a few words of wisdom. I will miss her greatly

Sorry to hear of Audrey's passing. My Dad, Avery Denkert, would often mention the fun he and his sisters had with Audrey, Ken and Donny when they went to Uncle Bruno and Aunt Mary's farm. Thoughts and prayers going out to her family. Bill, Josh & Mark Denkert

I was a Classmate of Audrey's in Neenah High, Class of '48, and I believe a good friend, Not only did we have our names in common beginning with a "Z" but our Birthdays were on the same date. Audrey was a very kind & thoughtful person, personified by her love for Animals. Our deepest Sympathies to her surviving family, Audry, R.I.P. Walt Ziemke.

I went to high school with Audrey and she worked with me at the Bethesda Thrift Store. Such a neat lady. Always smiling. I did not know how to get in touch with Audrey as I did not know the daughters name. My sympathy to the family and God Bless.
