Ena Faye Benedict, age 89, of Butte des Morts, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. She was born August 27, 1925, to the late Walter and Eliza (Catencamp) Boche. On September 28, 1946, Ena Faye married John F. Benedict in Winchester and they made their home in Butte des Morts their entire married lifetime. For many years she was employed at the White House Inn in Butte des Morts. Ena Faye then held many positions at the YMCA in Oshkosh, predominantly in child care, retiring in 2014. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne.
Ena Faye is survived by one daughter and son in law, Linda and Gary Carlson of Marathon, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Brandon Carlson, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Brittyni (Jonny) Marr, of DePere; and many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Along with her parents Ena Faye was also preceded in death by her husband, John on December 1, 2004; and two brothers and four sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 7 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. the church with Pastor Mark Albrecht and Pastor Ben Berger officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.
