Lillian E. Genrich, age 98, a lifelong resident of the town of Poygan, died Monday, May 25, 2015.
She was born April 2, 1917, in Poygan to the late Carl and Bertha (Meyer) Maronn. On June 1, 1939, Lillian married Clarence Genrich at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winneconne. Lillian taught school for three years until she and Clarence began farming and raising their three children. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Omro, having been very active in the Ladies Guild and Mission Quilting through the years. Lillian had a passion for sewing and enjoyed being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by three children, Cheryl (Robert) Sager, of Omro; Ray (Becky) Genrich, of Marshall, Minnesota; Karen (Jim) Herber, of DePere; eight grandchildren, David (Jodi) Sager, Angie (Dean) Daubert, Jonathan Sager, Lisa (Tony) Eriksen, Matt (Kayla) Genrich, Tim (Ona) Herber, Sara (Craig) Hockers, Julie Herber (fiancé, Joel Stegman); eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Loyal (Jean) Maronn; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Lillian was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence on July 24, 1993; and a brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Gladys Maronn.
Per Lillian's wishes a private family funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne. Pastor Richard Bartholomew will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Poygan.
