Marlyn E. Henschel, age 84, of Neenah, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah with all of his family by his side.
He was born March 11, 1931, in Winchester to the late Edwin and Elsie (Mathison) Henschel. Marlyn married Marilyn Hoier in 1951 and they spent 34 years raising nine wonderful children. She preceded him in death in 1985. In 1992 he married Vera Kiehnau and they spent 22 beautiful years together. Marlyn owned and operated Henschel Milk Service from 1973 until 1993, and for 42 years he worked at American Can Co. in Neenah. He was a snowmobile enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, bowling, and for 35 years spending time at Crooked Lake.
Marlyn will be sadly missed by his wife, Vera Henschel; his children, Gary (Gail) Henschel, Darlene (Steve) Boegh, Rodney (Sue) Henschel, Tom (Patti) Henschel, Cheryl (Tom) McCutcheon, Mike (Donna) Henschel, James (Kara) Henschel, John (Deb) Henschel, Jean Hamilton; Vera's children, Keith (Margaret) Kiehnau, Colleen (Mike) Londo; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Angell, Bonnie Peterson; sisters-in-law, Kay Peterson, Evie Peterson, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents and first wife Marilyn, Marlyn was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, Tyler Henschel, Rausheen Hamilton Henschel, Kelly Kiehnau; two brothers, Gene and David Peterson; and a sister and two brothers-in-law, Beverly and Orrin Prindle, and Elroy Angell.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St. Neenah. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Marlyn's name will be established.

He was the strongest and most hard working man we knew and he always made time for family. There wasn't a joke he didn't know and we can still hear his belly laugh. He lived to love and laugh. We will miss you grandpa but we know when we take a walk down memory lane you will be there. Love, Your grandchildren.

Molly is our Daughter in Law. We did not know her grandfather but if he is like Molly he was a great person! So sorry for your families loss. We pray for comfort during these hard times but one day y'all will be together again. God is good!
