Loyal C. Maronn, age 90, of Omro, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015. He was born December 22, 1924, in Omro to the late Carl and Bertha (Meyer) Maronn. Loyal was a graduate of Omro High School. On July 30, 1949, he married Jeanette Walter. Loyal grew up on the Maronn family farm in the town of Poygan and farmed there until 1973. He completed coursework in electronics at Fox Valley Technical Institute in Oshkosh and also worked as a TV repairman. Loyal enjoyed fishing, and was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Allenville.
Loyal is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Maronn, of Omro; five children and their spouses, Suzanne and Tyrone Tiede, of Menasha; Samuel and Patricia Maronn, of Omro; Nancy and Lee Noffke, of Land O Lakes; Peggy and William Krause, of Sedalia, Missouri; Daniel and Tomoka Maronn, of Los Angeles; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Loyal was also preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Maronn; one sister, Lillian Genrich; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church of Allenville 6628 Hilltop Rd. Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor David Eisley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, town of Poygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd's Home in Union Grove or to Bible Tracts in Bloomington, Illinois.
Loyal's family wishes to thank the staff of Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh for all of the care and concern shown to him while he was a resident there.
