My family sends prayers to the Mark's family, may god bless you all. I personally have wonderful memories of Mrs.Marks, as our families we were neighbors in the township of Poygan during my childhood. Those were great days, she was a wonderful lady.

Dear Uncle Ray, Gary, Eileen, Joan and Dale and to all of your family members and friends - My husband and I are so sorry to hear that Aunt Esther passed away. We send our sympathy and love to all of you. We are also sorry that we will not be able to make the trip from East Tennessee to Wisconsin for the visitation and funeral ... but please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. We will be doing a memorial in her name at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro. I smile with tears in my eyes as I think about Aunt Esther. When I read the obituary that said she cheered each of you on ... I will always remember her for her positive and cheerful attitude, her smile, and her welcoming demeanor and friendly voice. Some of the favorite times I remember were the Christmas get togehters at their home when we, the "cousins" were children. I also remember spending some time each summer staying at their home on the farm with my cousin Joan. I also remember later on the visits Uncle Ray and Aunt Esther would make to Oshkosh to visit my parents, or just my Mom after my Dad has passed on. I remember Aunt Esther and Uncle Ray (and the "cousins" too) coming to my Mom's 90th birthday celebration ... and how happy it made my Mom. And finally, I am especially appreciative that I got to visit with Aunt Esther and Uncle Ray on a business trip to teach in Wisconsin a little over a year ago. We had a very nice and special visit that day ... a chance to catch up and share some of the memories we held dear. I think Aunt Esther touched and impacted the lives of people she met in a very special way ... I know she did mine. Rest in peace Aunt Esther. In closing, I hope this poem brings you a peace and comfort: Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.
