Donald "Gus" Larson
Neenah, Wisconsin

Donald "Gus" Larson, age 65, of Neenah, passed away, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. He was born August 15, 1944, in Neenah to the late John and Leola (Rohloff) Larson, the second youngest of five children. Gus was a skilled pattern maker and worked throughout the Fox Valley. He made the plaque for the Neenah-Menasha time capsule, by the St. Thomas Church in Menasha. Donald enjoyed duck and deer hunting. He was also a skilled carpenter.
Gus is survived by two sons, John (Sue) Larson, of Neenah, and their children, Shelby and Kaitlyn; Gus (Jill) Larson, of Winneconne, and their daughter, Amanda; one sister, Cecelia (Dave) Manson, of Ellison Bay. He is also survived by two ex-wives, the mother of his sons, Sue Larson; and Karen Angell; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Jerry; and one sister, Judy.
Cremation has taken place and a Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne. There will be no service. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Gus' family would like to thank the staffs of Theda Care At Home and Vallhaven Care Center for all of their support and outstanding care.

As a cousin I am sorry not to have known Gus better in later life. I have fond thoughts of him and his family. I did send him a note recently after corresponding with Celia. May he rest in peace. Ron Larson, Fredericksburg, Va.
