Constance J. Nyberg, age 82, of Butte des Morts, WI died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born April 20, 1934, in Milwaukee to the late Frank and Evelyn (Hintz) Malzeke.
On January 2, 1951, Connie married William Nyberg at Calvary Lutheran Chapel at UW-Madison, and they have made their home in Madison, WI, Pittsburgh, PA, Hartford, CT, Fond du Lac, WI, Appleton, WI and since 1989 in Butte des Morts, WI. Connie was proficient at sewing, knitting, crochet, needlepoint; and also watercolor and oil painting. She had her single-engine land private pilot's license and was a published author. Connie volunteered her time donating hundreds of sweaters, mittens, and hats to women's shelters, and with the American Red Cross where she organized blood drives. She enjoyed singing in various church choirs and at weddings.
Connie is survived by her husband of 65 years, William L. Nyberg Sr., three children, Coral (Allen) Arneson, Catherine (Herbert) Buck, William Jr. (Dawn) Nyberg; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Edwin (Sally) Nyberg; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Constance was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Norton; and a grandson, David Arneson.
A private funeral service will be held with Pastor Kevin Heffernan officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Connie's name may be made to the Christine Ann Center, Oshkosh, WI.
