Quincy E. Heise, age 86, of Omro, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born January 18, 1923, in the Town of Omro to the late William and Emma (Patche) Heise. Quincy was a graduate of Omro High School. On August 31, 1957, Quincy married Janet Fae Rilling, and they made their home and farmed the family farm on Heise Road in the Town of Omro until retiring in 1998. He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, where he had served on the church council. Quincy enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling, and bingo. He has been a resident of Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh.
Quincy is survived by three children, David (Peggy) Heise, of Omro; Diane (Wade) Wara, of Oshkosh; Tom (Wendy) Heise, of Omro; five grandchildren, Ashley Heise, Nicole Heise, Becky Putzer, Erin (Nathanael) Brown, and Mackenzie Heise. He is also survived by three sisters, Dorothy Szep, of Omro; Norma Arndt, of Oshkosh; Amber Felchlin, of Greenleaf; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Quincy was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet, on February 19, 2002; brothers, sisters, and brothers-in-law, Fritz Heise, Carl Heise, Bill Heise, Eric Heise, Herb Heise, Alma Hertzberg, Irma Buhrow, Lenora and Elwin Stertz, Carl Arndt, Jim Felchlin, and Elmer Szep.
A Funeral Service for Quincy will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 5355 Cty Rd. K, Zion, with Pastor Russell Kloehn officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, January 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, and will continue on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Quincy Heise was a super guy. He took the pictures at our wedding. I will never forget how nice he was to me. My sympathies go out to all the family and friends. We will always remember him.

I became acquainted with Quincy at Evergreen Retirement Center where we both resided. My family and I will always remember his kindness, compassion, and desire to help new residents feel at ease and welcome in their new surroundings.
