On Wednesday March 30, 2022, Marcia Ann Lisney of Winneconne, loving wife and mother of three children passed away peacefully at the age of 61 after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. She was born September 7, 1960, in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin, the daughter of Jerome and Ann (Wilmot) Kies. On June 25, 1988, Marcia married the love of her life Kevin Lisney in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

As an elementary school teacher, Marcia brightened and enhanced the lives of so many children in the New London School District throughout her career, retiring after 34 years.

Well known for her extravagant parties, Marcia enjoyed hosting and feeding family, friends, and all the special people in her life. Nobody ever left her house hungry and she was famous for many delicious dishes, especially her deviled eggs. There will never be enough words to describe how Marcia impacted the lives of those around her.

Marcia is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband of 33 years, Kevin; son, Marty (Melissa) Lisney; daughter, Dani (Dan) McMillan; daughter, Taylor (David) Lisney; four grandchildren, Kailey, Logan, Brey and Ryker; and her father, Jerome "Jerry" Kies. She is further survived by her brother, Bill (Donna) Kies; brother-in-law, Mark (Linda) Lisney; sister-in-law, Carrie Kies; many nieces, as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Kies; her brother, Jim Kies; and her nephew, Chad Kies.

A visitation will be on Saturday April 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Brian Staude will be officiating.

“Although I love flowers, I’d rather you spread joy in memory of me. Practice random acts of kindness often, let the person with fewer items ahead of you in line, pay for the car behind you, buy a stranger flowers just because, or buy a stranger a meal.”

“As Fisk Fireworks were a large part of my life, please donate to Fisk Fireworks. I also request people wear bright colors instead of black. I am a happy person and black isn’t very happy. Plus, we are celebrating my life, black just isn’t going to work.”

If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

My Deepest Sympathies to all of you. I worked with Marcia at Premier Community Bank, I work in the main office in Marion. Whenever I called our Winneconne Office Marcia was always pleasant and willing to help. I also remember an Employee party with Dueling Pianos and she was pulled up front to lead the Hokey Pokey, she was a good sport. Marcia you will be missed by many, myself included. I'm not saying goodbye but until we meet again. Keep shining bright and laughing friend.
