Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Jane Ellen (Tegelman) Domke passed into eternal life on Friday, April 15, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah after a brief illness. She was born January 25, 1954, at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh to Harold Jr. and Gertrude (Diener) Tegelman. Jane was a 1972 graduate of Winneconne High School and remained in the Winneconne and Oshkosh area. She started out working in healthcare at the McDonald Clinic in Winneconne and later in child care at Tender Loving Care and Chiemsee Castle Day Care, both in Oshkosh.
Jane loved to cook and bake, experimenting with different recipes and sharing her creations with friends and family. She enjoyed decorating her home for the different seasons and holidays, and most especially spending time with granddogs Lucy and Chewie. She also enjoyed watching old TV programs and movies. Cleaning was a “sport” to her. She was very lucky with scratch-off lottery tickets, often winning. Jane was always very generous and caring, often helping family, friends, and other residents in her apartment building. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed stories about her family history and ancestors.
Jane is survived by her two children, Abby (Craig) Wyssbrod, of Larsen; Barry Domke, of Appleton; brothers, Mark (Jean) Tegelman, of Winneconne; Mike (Laura) Tegelman, of Oshkosh; sister, Mary (John) Materna, of Winneconne; her ex-husband, Gaylord Domke; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and granddogs, Lucy and Chewie.
Preceding Jane in death were her parents, Harold Jr. and Gertrude Tegelman; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Paul Vidmar officiating.
If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

Tegelman Family: I am so sorry to read of Jane’s passing. I knew her well when I lived in Winneconne. She was funny, kind and lots of fun. Sympathies to her family.

I worked with Jane at McDonald Clinic in Winneconne for a number of years. She was friendly, bright, and a hard worker. She frequently signed up for long shifts. Sometimes she and I would work opposite each other so we could babysit each other’s children. I have good memories of Jane.

I have known Jane for the past several years as a neighbor in the same apartment buildings. She was always friendly and ready to help however she could. I remember a time we were having a potluck and she signed up for several dishes to bring…. and she couldn’t even come. She always went above and beyond. She often shared the “goodies” she made. She gave me a most beautiful Christmas card for a friend. Jane, I miss you already.
