Al Cady, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Al was born on May 30, 1958, to Gordon and Beverly Cady. He attended Oshkosh West High School until his passion for living on the farm with his grandparents and driving big trucks became his life’s desire. Al started out helping the neighbors, farming, driving truck during the pea and corn season at the Pickett cannery, and gradually worked his way up to bigger and better things. He worked for LMS trucking, Foreway Express, Keebler (Kelloggs) and currently with Korth Transfer. Al loved his job. He loved what he did and never said it was work, he said he treated it like it was a vacation, and every truck he drove was spotless and he treated it like it was his own.
In 1978 Al met Cindy Haase, the girl that would become his wife and mother of his son. Al and Cindy were married in 1984. In 1988 they bought their forever home and became the “CADYS ON FISK, SOUTH OF THE RIVER”. In 1992 their first and only son Cole was born, and would forever be called “THE BOY” by his dad. In 2002 we added our dog LeRoy to the family, and Al and LeRoy were inseparable from that day on. Al was heartbroken when he lost his best friend, LeRoy, in 2016. In 2020 Cole married the love of his life, Carrie, and Al finally got his daughter.
Al was bigger than life. He made it a priority to visit with friends, neighbors, or anyone that would listen to him. A visit with Al wasn’t complete until the coffee was poured. He loved baking bread and giving it to friends and neighbors. He was known at church for his legendary carrot cake. Al lived every day to the fullest, and treated every day as if it were his last. He was a simple man with a simple lifestyle, and found much joy in the little thing’s life had to offer. Al loved his home and took great pride in providing for his family that he loved so dearly.
A service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at First English Lutheran Church, 1013 Minnesota Street, Oshkosh. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, service at 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm and a dinner will follow the service in the church auditorium. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family.

I worked with al the last few years at korth he was a wonderful man to be around prolly the nicest person yu will ever meet always happy always greeted yu with a big ol handshake . I will miss seeing him that’s for sure . Condolences to his family

We were truly sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He started his passion of driving truck with us and was one of the best drivers we ever had. He was a perfectionist, treated equipment as his own. and respected his job. We are glad he continued on in his dream. We will always remember him with his smile. He left too soon but we are sure he really enjoyed and fulfilled his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Cindy and Cole my heart goes out to you. Al was a great man and I never saw him unhappy. Know that he loved you all very much. Losing a loved one is never easy and your pain is felt by all. Prayers for you and your family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

We will miss Al in so many ways but cherish the countless memories filled with laughter and story telling. Al truly was one-of-a-kind with his humor, attitude, and zest for life. Al loved his friends as family and anyone who loved this guy is better for it! To Cindy, Cole, and Carrie; we love you and are thinking of you each and every moment as you mourn such and unimaginable loss. And we are with you, always, to celebrate and remember Al.

You have my sympathy at this time.You were lucky, God gave you such a great guy for a Husband and Dad. Several of us called him Smiling Al. Always greeting and parting with a hardy hand shake. He was proud of his wife and "The Boy". Again I am sorry. He will missed by all of us.

So sorry to hear about the sudden death of Al. He was full of life and always entertained all of us at the milestone birthday celebrations for Shirley and Joyce. I always asked my mom, “ Do you think we will be at Al’s table?” I always knew we would have a great time full of laughs which we always did. He sure will be missed. My sympathy to Cindy, Cole, and Carrie! Heaven gained a man of laughter, fun spirited, and a hard worker. All the heavenly spirits will be following him for a good time! Peace to all of you.
