Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Neva L. (Bartlett) Borski, age 84, of Winneconne passed away on Thursday February 16, 2017, of natural causes. She was born July 31, 1932, in Oshkosh the daughter of Rose (Haldemann) Bartlett and Otto Bartlett, one of ten siblings.
Neva started her career at Miles Kimball in Oshkosh. On November 15, 1952, she married Willard Borski. She then became a mother and homemaker, caring for her eight children until she was 40 years old, when she became a waitress at the Century Elm in Larsen. Kenny Loehrke, the owner, has remarked over the years that, "Neva was the best damn waitress ever." All those who knew her, knew her loving and humble manner to care for others with an upbeat tone that softly touched those in her life. Neva also waitressed at Holtz's in Winneconne.
Neva loved sewing, gardening, and canning all those great vegetables for her family. She also was a great baker, and made just the best Apple Slice ever. Many of her family members were recipients of her beautiful crafts work, knitting projects, and crocheting.
Neva was active in her Golf League, the Winnie Whiffers of Winchester, which she just loved. She also very much enjoyed her involvement in the Winneconne Civic League and she appreciated her many friends there. Neva was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for over 50 years. Her spiritual life was a more humble and quiet part of her life that considerably influenced and formed the moral fiber of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Cindy Borski, Mike Borski, Debbie (Steve) Leboeuf, Judy (Ryan) Janz, Bonnie (Mark) Remmel, Patti Bee (Douglas), Donna Borski (Steven), and Dave (Lena) Borski. Neva is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

Dave and Patti, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful woman. Mothers are very precious and losing them is so difficult. May you find peace in your hearts very soon.

I did not know Mrs. Borski very well, but what I did know was that she was very kind and had a gentle hand to help others that were hurting. As a young girl and having Patti as a friend back in the day, I experienced the kind words of Mrs. Borski assuring me everything would be ok when my own Mother was experiencing sickness and I was unsure of what was happening, I never forgot her kind words. Rest in peace. Prayers for the entire family during this time of loss.
