Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Corrine C. (Huelsbeck) Mace passed away on March 12, 2017, at Oakridge Gardens Rehabilitation Care Center after a brief illness. "Cork" was just shy of 90 years old. Born in Menasha to Earl and Mathilda Huelsbeck, she graduated from St Mary's Catholic High School in Menasha.
She married Eugene F. Mace, of Neenah, after the War and moved to Madison, had two of their three children there and then moved to Racine, WI where Eugene worked for S.C. Johnson & Sons., and had their third child. "Gene" was instrumental in developing "OFF" and "RAID" bug products and even had some fame in television commercials in the day. Cork and Gene traveled extensively, had dozens of close friends spread across the country and eventually retired to Ocala, FL where they spent nearly 10 years. Cork and Gene then moved back to Winneconne and had been in the area they loved ever since.
Cork loved boating, dancing, tennis, entertaining, and reading. Her focus in life was always her family. She was a devoted Mother and Wife and was always full of Love, Joy, and Wit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thanks to her neighbors who were her special Friends and were diligent in assisting her in any way possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine Bishop, of Missouri; sons, Jeffrey Mace, of Shawano; and Steven Mace, of Racine; and dear husband, Eugene Mace of Neenah.
Cork is survived by sisters, Evelyn Birling, of Appleton; Joann Cassella, of Georgia; Betty Schultz, of California; brother, David Huelsbeck, of Fox Crossing; daughter-in-law, Margo Mace, of Shawano; and son, Doug Mace, of Lawson Missouri. Cork's legacy also includes six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
