Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
James "Jim" "Lubo" Tofari Jr., age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2017, from a heart attack.
Jim was one hell of a husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He enjoyed helping his wife and kids with their never ending projects they had lined up for him, going on his Sunday senior citizen' runs, hunting with his son, spending time with his grandkids, and riding his Harley and Mustang. He was deeply involved with the union at Oshkosh Truck. He always had his union brother's backs. His daughter and grandson referred to Jim as their Superman'; there was nothing this man couldn't do. Jim will forever be watching from above.
Jim is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tofari; children, Tony (Alicia) Tofari, Kayla Tofari (fiancé, Matt); grandchildren, Mason Tofari, Josephine Tofari; mother, Donna Tofari; sisters, Shelley (Greg) Papenfuss, Debbie (Frank) Miner; and grandmother, Geri Tofari.
A private memorial service for Jim was held with family, per his wishes, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. A separate celebration of Jim's life for his union brothers and sisters will be held at the Local UAW 578 Union Hall located on 2920 Oregon St. Oshkosh, WI on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jim's name for the Redgranite Area Fire District Rescue Fund.
A special thank you to the Village of Redgranite Fire & Rescue Department for all their efforts and to Mueller Funeral Home in Winneconne, WI for assisting with all the arrangements.
If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.

We met Jim through scouting. He was always willing to help out. At our Haunted hayrides he loved giving the older scouts( the ones to old to scare) the last ride. As they would scream he would bust a gut laughing. He will be missed.

Sorry for your loss. Praying for His comfort in your life. dFrom the obituary I find Your brother was passionate for embracing life; through the love of his family, coworkers and community. Unfortunately, I didn't know him, celebrate not that he died but lived passionately.

Our sympathy to the Tofari family. We knew Jim through Cub Scouts. When we would go to a scout activity Jim was the biggest kid in the group and made these outings a fun time for both the kids and adults.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jim's family!
May our loving God envelope all of you in His arms as you journey from grief to grace. Call on the Holy Spirit for strength and comfort and lean on those of us who know and love this family. Grieve as your soul guides you at your own time and pace! Also, remember what we read in Matthew that includes the Beatitudes, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
BTW Harley riders like my father are in Heaven ready to ride with Jim!
Fondly,

Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of grief. My hope is that the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort, when he stated that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5: 28, 29). We can also take comfort in God's personal promise to "wipe out every tear" and that soon, even "death will be no more" (Revelation 21: 4).
