Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Harold W. Kietz, age 97, went to his eternal rest on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. He was born November 13, 1919, in Winneconne to the late William and Elsie (Wojahn) Kietz. Harold was a 1937 graduate of Winneconne High School. On October 12, 1946, he married Elaine Sitter at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. After graduation Harold worked at the Farmer's Bank of Omro in the Winneconne office and he retired from Marshall & Isley Bank in 1984. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne, was member and past president of the Winneconne Businessmen's Club, and had served as secretary of AAL. For 22 years Harold volunteered with ADVOCAP, and had served as a bookkeeper for the Village of Winneconne Water & Sewer Utility. Over the years, Harold had bowled on a number of leagues.
Harold is survived by three children, William "Bill" (Luella) Kietz, of Appleton; Carol (Nile) Beck, of Appleton; Kathy Kietz, of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Renee (Tim) Bake, David (Adrianne) Beck, Eric (Katharine) Beck, and Abby Beck; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Bake, Greysen Beck, Harper and Hudson Beck, Jackson Beck; brother-in-law, Richard (Jolanda) Sitter, of Bel Air, Maryland; sisters-in-law, Audrey Binder, Arline Sitter, both of Oshkosh; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents, Harold was also preceded in death by his wife Elaine on February 12, 2012; brother and sisters-in-law, Earl and Jutta Kietz, Lucille Plotz, Ruth Schneider; and brothers-in-law, Harold, Milton, and Edward Sitter.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church.

Harold was a wonderful person who always loved our pet therapy visits each month. We would talk about when he and my mom worked at the bank together so long ago. I know he's happy to be reunited with your mom. Stay strong and remember the good times.

So sorry for your loss. Your Dad had long and wonderful life. Remembering our friendship and the great times we had hanging out. See you at our 50th! I am no longer in the area (moved to Duluth Mn, of all places!)so I will not be able to be with you on Thursday. I will keep your family in my prayers.
