Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Patricia R. (Utter) Overton, age 91, of Oshkosh, died Monday, May 22, 2017, at home. She was born June 27, 1925, in Oshkosh to the late William and Una Rae (Kurtz) Utter. On June 25, 1949, she married Thomas W. Overton. Pat had worked many years at the Sunnyview Sanitarium and Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She was a member of the Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church in Oshkosh.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Dr. Deborah (Scott Spencer) Overton, Cynthia Overton; nieces, Diana Osburn and Patricia Zander. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Overton; a brother-in-law, William Overton; nieces and nephews, Susan Overton Walker, John (Judy) Overton, Charles (Cindy) Overton, Doug (Debbie) Overton, Emily (Gale) Foss, Bill (Janet) Overton, Karen Overton; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, friends, and her furry friends, Marley, Toby, Payette, Banchee, and her precious little white dog Bailey.
Along with her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Overton; one brother, one sister, and in-laws, William and Margaret Utter, Doris and Raymond Otto, George and Bea Overton, James and Lydia Overton, Mary Jane Overton, Lila Overton; nieces and nephews, Jeanne Berger, Donald Utter, Katherine Blauuw, Nathaniel Overton, Mary Drysdale, and David Schaefer.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church 1174 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor Cathy Weigand officiating. Inurnment will be in the Plummer Cemetery.
Memorials in Pat's name may be made to: Shriner's Hospital for Children, Algoma Blvd United Methodist Church, or the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
Pat's family extends a special thank you to her helpers, Irene Freeman, Joanne Montag, and Vicki Lofgren for all the years of care. They also would like to thank the Aurora-at-Home staff for preparing us for this time.

We are so sorry to here about Pat she was always a great lady to wait on when she came in to the pub. Thought of her a lot after we got out of the bar.
