Paul Saegert
Paul Saegert, age 84, of the Town of Menasha, formerly of Winneconne, died, Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. He was born December 3, 1925, in Neenah to the late Paul and Emma (Kaatz) Saegert. Paul served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne in Europe during World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge. He worked in the building trade for many years. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winneconne, and a former member of the National Guard, the V.F.W., and the American Legion Post 364 of Winneconne.
Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty; three children, Dan, Rick (Lynn), and Connie (Don) Stafford; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by four sisters, and one brother.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor John Covach officiating. Inurnment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Neenah. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
