Lawrence "Larry" A. Daniels, age 63, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly, Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born November 24, 1953, in Elgin, Illinois to Eugene and Jean (Rabedeau) Daniels. Larry was a 1971 graduate of Lourdes High School in Oshkosh. For 10 years, he worked for the Oshkosh Police Department before going into business for himself as a financial planner. Larry's many other loves other than his wife and family were open-wheeled racing, classic cars, especially Corvettes and Mustangs, attending and years ago himself racing SCCA at Road America in Elkhart Lake. He was a great cook and enjoyed hosting many barbeques at his home for family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carrie Ann Daniels; their Golden Retrievers, Morgan and Madison; three brothers and a sister, Wayne (Kathy) Daniels, Ken (Dawn Steffen-Daniels) Daniels, Lori (Chris) Enders, Don Daniels; his mother-in-law, Delores Luce; in-laws, David (Joni) Luce, Warren (Candy) Luce, Peter Luce (special friend, Lynn); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding Larry in death was his father, Eugene Daniels.
A private graveside service and inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh, and a party to celebrate Larry's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, because of his love of dogs please consider a donation in Larry's name to the Oshkosh Humane Society.

I am so sorry for your loss. Larry and I were teaching assistants together in the Sociology Dept at UWO. He was so smart, clever and funny. I will miss him terribly. Prayers for the entire family.

I worked with Larry for a few years at OPD. Nice guy. At the time, uniform stuff was "handed down" to new or newer Officers. I got Larry's leather gloves. STILL have them to this day...
