Robert Edwin Wentzel entered his eternal heavenly home on Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born August 13, 1937, in Winneconne to the late Clarence and Victoria (Wagen) Wentzel. Bob's early years were spent assisting his parents who owned the Pinecrest Cottages in Winneconne. He graduated from Winneconne High School in 1955 and joined the U.S. Army shortly thereafter. Bob served almost his entire military time in Nancy, France.
On April 22, 1960, Bob married Susan Jane Breaker and they were blessed with two daughters, Kathy and Kim. Susan preceded him in death on February 9, 2008. For many years Bob worked for Brickham Stamping Co. until his retirement on August 13, 1999. On August 13, 2010, he married Donna Lea Mink. Bob was an active member of the Birmingham Roller Pidgeon Club, traveling to several states flying his birds in competition and winning several awards. He also loved to fish, deer and turkey hunt, and play Sheepshead with family and friends. For 45 years Bob and his family lived in the Poygan area on their 40 acre hobby farm, until Parkinson's disease struck. He attended Community Church in Oshkosh until his declining health placed him in Park View Health Center in Oshkosh due to kidney failure.
Along with his wife Donna, survivors include his daughters, Katharine Prader, of Neenah; Kim (Dave) Mours, of Oakdale, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Erin and Matthew Prader; two great-grandchildren, Jade Swiertz and Sabastian Stumpf. Donna's children include Rob, Deb, Jeff, and Jason Houts along with ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and her sister, Marilynn Hawkins. Bob is also survived by his sister, Gail "Buzz" (Raymond) Schwandner; two nieces, Sally (Paul) Bellile, Sharon (Jim) DeGroot and their son Steven; along with several cousins, one aunt, and many dear friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will follow. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, town of Poygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name will be made to help the residents of Park View Health Center in some way.

Bob's family would like to thank the ThedaCare Home Health team, ThedaCare at Home Hospice group, and the wonderful caring staff at Park View Health Center.
