Virginia "Ginnie" A. Lafferty age 98 of Winneconne, WI, went peacefully home to be with her Savior, on Friday, August 25, 2017, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law with her family by her side. She was born November 14, 1918, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sixten and Ida (Goddard) Fogelin. She married Philip Lafferty on April 29, 1939, and they made their home in Springfield, Ohio until 1957 when they moved to Butte des Morts, WI. Upon their retirement in 1987 they moved to Whisper Lake, FL. Her husband Phil preceded her in death on July 27, 1996. In 2004 Ginnie moved to Winneconne to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Ginnie and Phil enjoyed many happy years of boating with family and friends on the lakes and rivers of Ohio and Wisconsin. She also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, tennis at Whisper Lake, paper tole art, and knitting. Ginnie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Winneconne.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Micki and Ron Mueller, Winneconne; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Peggy Lafferty, Neenah, WI; her five grandchildren, Julie and Kelly Angell, Matt and Becky Mueller, Mike and Beth Mueller, all of Winneconne; Bret Lafferty, and Phil Lafferty, both of Neenah, WI; eleven great-grandchildren, Carly, Caleb, and Seth Angell, Gibson, Frehley, and Marshall Mueller, Henry, Hudson, and Presley Mueller, and Aiden Boushley and Kiah Lafferty.
Along with her parents and husband Ginnie was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Marie, Dorothy, and Mary; and her dear friends, Dickie Lehman and Pat McDonald.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Noon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne, with Pastor Ben Berger officiating. Burial will follow in the Winneconne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Ginnie's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to special caregivers, Jan Cruz and Debbie Opperman, and the Affinity Hospice team; your kindness will never be forgotten.
A memorial has been established to St. Paul's music ministry.

I was so sad to read about Ginnie's passing. She was always a real lady. I have fond memories of her as a neighbor and good friend to my Mother Dorothy Genal. I still have a gift Ginny had given my Mom for pet sitting or something like that. I think of your Mother every time I look at it. She was a wonderful,delightful and kind person. She will be dearly missed.
