Marjorie Cox, age 94, formerly of Winchester, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Carolina Assisted Living in Appleton. She was born June 7, 1923, in Waupaca to the late Albert Sr. and Jesse (Lamb) Anderson. On November 22, 1943, Marge married Charles Cox in Waupaca and they made their home in Waupaca, Medina, Zittau, and Winchester. For over 40 years Marge and Charles operated a Christmas wreath business in Winchester; being a major supplier of wreaths for the Boys Brigade and for many Boy Scout Troops for their fundraising efforts. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Zittau where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, and was involved in its Ladies Aid and Prayer & Praise. Marge enjoyed sewing, drawing, cooking, and visiting over many cups of coffee.
Marge is survived by three sons and four daughters-in-law, John and Ofuku Cox, of Neenah; Jerry and Tena Cox, of Pine River; Sue Cox, of Middleburg, Florida; David and Shelley Cox, of Little Chute; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Anderson Jr.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Marge was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Cox; a daughter, Barbara Cichanowski; a son, Bob Cox; and a sister, Eileen Pederson.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church 9077 North Rd. Fremont. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Mark Kinney officiating. Burial will be in the Saxeville Union Cemetery, town of Saxeville.
