Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Don Hillsberg, age 58, of Larsen, died at home on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born October 9, 1958, to James and Laverne "Sis" (Suprise) Hillsberg. Don was a carpenter by trade and could build anything. Each of his siblings has evidence of his amazing carpentry skills in their homes, as do many of his friends and customers. He loved cooking and gardening, growing everything you can imagine, canning what he grew, and also making his own wine. Don enjoyed raising animals, hunting and fishing, and a laid back style of living.
Don was a good father and brother, and enjoyed being a new grandfather. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brianna Immel-Hillsberg and Jerred Friday; grandson, Jace; two sisters and a brother, Helen Peterman, Dave Hillsberg, Bonnie (Steve) La Dow; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many good friends, and his dog, Duke.
Preceding Don in death were his parents, Jim and Sis Hillsberg.
Per Don's wishes cremation has taken place and a private gathering of family and friends was held.
If you wish please feel free to submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.
