Marilyn (Egan) Sullivan, age 74, of Oshkosh died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Eden Meadows Rehab in Oshkosh. She was born September 30, 1942, in the town of Rushford to the late Owen and Grace (Brewster) Egan. Marilyn was a graduate of Omro High School. On February 9, 1963, she married John "Jack" Sullivan at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. Marilyn had worked as an LPN for Bethel Home, Oshkosh, Webster Manor, Omro, and for Dr. Boyle. She loved to cook and bake, and no one ever left her home hungry. Marilyn's greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, John "Jack" Sullivan; four children, Julie (Rick) Kelly, Kelly Sullivan (Eric Kolb), Edward Sullivan (Paula O'Donnell), Mark Sullivan; grandchildren, Erin (Karl) Kraebber, of Hoover, Alabama; Corey Ansfield (Kelsea Garthoff), of Champaign, Illinois; Megan Kelly, Kristen Kelly, Spenser Sullivan, Garrett Sullivan, Ireland Sullivan, Grady Sullivan; two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Hadley Kraebber. She is also survived by a brother, Dick Egan; a sister, Nan (Andrew) Amend; brothers-in-law, Ken Pryne, Greg (Ellen) Kroll; in-laws, James (Joyce) Sullivan, Mary Grace Langenfeld, Ann (Ron) Korb, Tom (Sue) Sullivan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, Bernice Pryne, Doris Kroll, David Egan, Eugene Egan, and Edith Egan; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann Egan, Ralph Draeger, and Ed Langenfeld; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Humphrey and Beatrice Sullivan.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church 830 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marilyn's name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
