Dorothy Mae (Ehrenberg) Marine, born November 19, 1920, to George and Mabel (Breaker) Ehrenberg passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, under hospice care surrounded by members of her family.
On November 25, 1944, she married Norman Marine in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1970. Dorothy married Donald Henry Marine on June 28, 1980, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1983. Dorothy had worked at Diamond Match Co. and retired in 1980 from Wagner Industries. Since 1996 she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a long time member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne. Dorothy enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, square dancing with Don, eating out, and traveling.
Dorothy is survived by eight children, Marilyn Nelson, Marian (John) Utschig, Ed (Sue) Marine, Norman (Pat) Marine, Larry (Bryce) Marine, Don (Karen) Marine, Chuck (Nancy) Marine, and Marcia (Chris) Tucek; two step-daughters, Jacqueline (Howard) Kislewski, Bennie Gail (Tony) Slomski; twelve grandchildren, Troy, Melissa, Chad, Erick, Scott, Todd, Staci, Meghan, Rachel, Travis, Joe, and Kevin; seven step-grandchildren, Jamie, Jackie, Jeff, Mark, Amy, Stephanie, and Jamie Jo; eleven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Kaylee Mae, Nathan, Colton, Devin, Kendall, Austin, Whitney, Kyle, and Makia; fourteen step-great-grandchildren, Jerome, Abigale, Ganessa, Kashton, Kylie, Connor, Kaelyn, Dylan, Sawyer, Luke, Joshua, Jacob, David, and Molly. She is also survived by a sister, Charlotte Meisinger; sister-in-law, Julie Ehrenberg; brother-in-law, Vernon Matulle; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents and husbands, Dorothy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Charles; three sisters, Audrey, Barbara, and Janice; three brothers-in-law; and a dear friend and companion, Tony Switlick.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, September 29, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 30, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
A memorial fund will be established in Dorothy's name for St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne.
Dorothy's family extends special thanks to: Dani and Kathleen of Heartland Hospice as well as the rest of the staff, to Christine for taking such good care of Mom, to Dr. Burkett of ThedaCare for giving us an extra 6 ½ years with Mom. May God bless each and every one of you.

I was a homesick girl from Tenn. who worked at Wagner Ind. Dorothy took me under her wing and I was so blessed, I did get to see her a few yrs, back but special thanks Marilyn so we could stay in touch through cards at holidays. Rest in peace dear friend . Jonell

I was very sad to learn that Dorothy has passed. She was very kind to me many years ago. She was a wonderful person, and I am sure she will be missed. May your entire family find peace. My thoughts are with you.
