Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Thomas "Tom" P. Jensen, age 80, of the town of Vinland passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, his 59th wedding anniversary.
He was born February 6, 1937, in Neenah to the late Adelbert Sr. and Grace (Schindler) Jensen. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army. On October 4, 1958, he married Georgia "Babe" Reese at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. He owned and operated Tom's Heating and Cooling for many years before taking over the family farm. For 34 years Tom was a member of the Vinland Fire Department. His favorite pastimes were playing cards, drinking brandy on Fridays at Woodeyes made by his favorite waitress's Amanda, Molly, and Jessica, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The neighborhood will miss his friendly smile seen while driving around checking crops.
Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Georgia "Babe" Jensen; four children, Sue (Jim) Memler, Nancy (Doug) Pierce, Tom (Tina) Jensen, Tim (Lori) Jensen; grandchildren, Dan, Bryan, and Matt Sleik, Katie, Nick, and Alex Pierce, Corey (Shanon) and Brett (Erica) Brickner, Reese and Andy Jensen; great-grandchildren, Hayley Sleik, Layla and Hayden Brickner, Ella Brickner; three brothers, Bill (Mary) Jensen, Daryl (Gwen) Jensen, Don (Jan) Jensen; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Buzz (Kay) Reese, Maxine Reese, Betty Jensen; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents Tom was also preceded in death by a brother, Adelbert Jensen Jr.; and two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Bob and Irmogene Reese, and Jack Reese.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Brooks Cemetery, town of Vinland.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Tom's name has been established for the town of Vinland Fire Department.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Tom. Lots of memories - being one of his and Babe's flower girls,living with them for a while after a fire, and years of teasing each other about being related. I loved him and will miss him. Praying that God holds you all in his arms during this time.
