Hubert "Bud" Doro, age 87, of Omro, passed away at home on Monday, October 16, 2017. He was born in Milwaukee, the son of Hubert and Lillian Doro. Hubert was a 1947 graduate of Omro High School. In 1949 he married Joan Diel, and together they enjoyed 63 years together before her passing in 2012. Bud had been employed at Rockwell International in Oshkosh for over 30 years before his retirement. He has been disabled since October 2001.
Hubert is survived by his children, James, Jeanette, and Robert (Leanne) Doro, all of Omro; Ann Doro, of Neenah; and Marilyn Werra, of Cicero, Illinois; grandchildren, Gwendolyn (Lance) Relland and Natalie Werra, of Columbus, Ohio; and Dennis Werra, of Cicero, Illinois. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Florence Diel, Iris Diel, Rose (Ralph) Watkins, Mary Haasch, Ellen (Russell) Frees, Richard Kasuboski, Darlene Doro; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife and parents, Hubert was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Charles Doro; a sister, Barbara Kasuboski; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mary Diel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Delaine) Diel, John (Sandra) Diel, Frances Diel, Francis Haasch, Joanne Shanahan; and a son-in-law, Edward Werra.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, October 20, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 730 Madison Ave. Omro. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at Noon at the church with Fr. Tom Long and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Valley VNA and Affinity Hospice for their care and concern given to Hubert and his family.
