Kristina “Kristy” Lee (Heiman) Lafferty, age 47, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 15, 1974, in Neenah to William and Donna (Meyer) Heiman. Kristy was a 1993 graduate of Neenah High School. She had a passion for aviation had been employed with the EAA and Sonex Aircraft. Kristy enjoyed traveling and loved animals, but most of all, truly enjoyed being a mother. Kiah was her world.

Kristy is survived by her daughter, Kiah Lafferty; her husband, Bret Lafferty; her mother, Donna (John) Van; a sister, Tracy Heiman; three brothers, William (Amanda) Heiman, Nick Van (significant other, Bianca), Johnny (Hanna) Van; nieces and nephews, Allexis, Paxton, Irelynn, Tadan, Cooper, Peyton, and Jack; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Peggy Lafferty; brother-in-law, Phil Lafferty and his son, Aiden; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding Kristy in death were her father, William Heiman; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Pathways Church 311 W. Evergreen Dr. Appleton. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 25 at 4:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Adam Demetrician officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, July 26 at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Kristen Brockdorf P.A. and the staff of the ThedaCare Cancer Center, the UW-Madison Carbone Cancer Center staff and Dr. Nataliya Uboha, ThedaCare at Home hospice staff, Kristy’s Aunt Diane, and her best friend Chris Savka, for all of the care and concern they have given and shown to her.

My darling daughter. You fought a brave battle with this beast of a cancer. And yet you never complained. You took the chemo, radiation and the clinical trial with a brave soul and attitude of you were going to get better. In the end God must have needed you more that I did for something special. My heart will always have a hole that only you could of filled I love you and miss you more than words can say ...forever your MOM
