Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Keith Lester Carley, age 67, of Omro, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 25, 2022. He was born December 14, 1954, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Lester “Bud” and Iris Carley.
Keith enjoyed a long career spanning 27 years at Wabash (formerly Brenner Tank). He also took on various side jobs including working at Country USA and as an Oshkosh Auxiliary Police Officer. During retirement, he enjoyed seasonal employment: mowing lawns for Winnebago County, plowing snow for Hawkeye Plowing, cooking at Eureka Landings, and managing an area car wash. He loved the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Most of all, Keith loved spending time with his family and his many close friends.
He is survived by his two brothers, Steven Carley and Dan Carley; one sister, Aletha (Chris) Cook; three children, Kevin (Daphne) Carley, Kelly (Josh) Werth, and Kenny (Karen) Carley; twelve grandchildren, Ramona, Ivy, Olivia, Logan, Mason, Eliana, Jordan, Kevin, Joshua, Bethany, Melanie, Lilly; two great-grandchildren, Nirvana and Joshua III; nieces and nephews, Eric (Carey) Carley, Amy (Carlo) McCormick, Jason Carley, Bryon Kiernicki, Robert Kiernicki and Laura (Dan) Doudek.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Lester “Bud” and Iris Carley; and two grandchildren, Hannah and Samuel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Eureka Landings. Private interment will be held at Shead Island Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mueller Funeral Home in Winneconne. Cards for the family can be mailed to Ken Carley, c/o Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, WI 54986.
