Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Donald E. Dorn, age 74, of Omro, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born to the late Arnold and Anna (Gabriel) Dorn on June 17, 1948. In 1966 Don graduated from Menasha High School. For 6 years he served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a drill sergeant. For 39 years Don was employed at American Can until his retirement. On August 28, 1971, Don married Evelyn Yaroch, and they enjoyed almost 51 years together. He was a loving husband and caring father to two sons, Jason and Zachary. Don had traveled in all 48 lower states, Canada, and Mexico, sometimes taking his in-laws along on family vacations. He enjoyed and put together hundreds of jigsaw puzzles. His other hobbies were search word and Sudoku puzzles. He loved going to garage sales looking to add to his large Santa collections.
Don is survived by his wife; two sons; brother, Robert, of Neenah; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy Yaroch, Gary and Lorna Yaroch; nieces, nephews, the best neighbors ever, and his furry buddies, Patch, Axel, and Lucy.
Along with his parents, Don was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Gladyce Dorn; nephew, Rick Dorn; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Clarence Yaroch.
Per Don’s request, cremation will take place and there will be no service. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family.
Evie, Jason, and Zach want to thank all the kind, wonderful EMT’s, first responders, Winneconne and Omro Police, sheriff’s deputies, and all of our neighbors for their loving care given to us during our time of need. Thank you to the Aurora Medical Center doctors and staff for all your dedicated, gentle, services you do and getting us through this difficult time.
Don (Dad), we will always love you and we hope you will enjoy riding your lawn mower, sitting by your campfire and drinking your Pepsi. Someday, we will meet again.
If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband Evie. Sorry to Zach and Jason in losing their dad. Take time to heal. Someday will have to ask you about his jigsaw puzzles. Lynn and I have put a few together and we have neighbor friends that also enjoy puzzles. Will also ask you about his Santa collections. There must be a story or two. Fifty one years of marriage is an accomplishment. Best wishes, thoughts, are sent your way.
