Christine “Chris” Merry Zuehlke, age 64, of Poygan passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh on Friday, September 16, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born December 25, 1958, the first child of Richard and Darlene (Achterberg) Tanner. Chris was an Army brat as her father was stationed in Germany, Maryland, Texas, and Wisconsin. On June 10, 1978, Chris married Don “Zeke” Zuehlke and together they had two children, Tim and Jamie. She enjoyed many things in life; many forms of motorsports from off road trucks to stock car racing, sharing ownership on race team #70. She loved going racing and taking pictures at the track. Chris made many friends from all walks of life including Al-Anon and the YMCA. She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill, flowers, butterflies, seasonal décor, and Mickey Mouse. Chris visited Disney several times as that was her “happy place”.

Chris loved her family and is survived by: her husband of 44 years, Don “Zeke” Zuehlke; daughter, Jamie Zuehlke; her mother, Darlene Tanner; aunt and uncle, Judy and Wayne Kallas; sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Many great memories with the Tanner family, especially since Christine was the sister of my best friend Tamela. Great times at Ruth Manske’s home. My sincerest condolences for all of Christine’s family and friends. ?? I am not able to be there Saturday, October 1, but rest assured that I will be thinking ?? of everyone and I will continue to have everyone in my prayers. ?? May God bless you and comfort you and give you peace. (Hoping this sends now and then gets posted so that I have signed the guestbook).
