Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Mark J. Cumings, a beloved father, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on September 6, 1953, to John and Grace (Wenban) Cumings.
Mark grew up in Neenah where he graduated from Shattuck High School. At the young age of 17 he became a master electrician, and worked for his father’s company, Cumings Electric. His later years he became a snowbird and spent his winters in his Florida home in Port St. Lucie, and enjoyed his retirement watching the Packers, bar “hippin” with friends, and spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his three children, Cory Cumings (Tiffany Miller), Benjamin Cumings (Demitria Bethke), and Melissa (Justin) Olson. He was the loving grandfather to Bryson (Kenna), Khally, Kaitlyn, Jimmy, Cash, Jaycee, Cruz, Harper, Hudson, and Hailee. He is also survived by his sisters, Karen Bartlett (Mike), Kathy (Bill) Pickering, and Lynne (Bob) Keller; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Mark in death were his parents; and his favorite hunting buddy, Zeke.

My condolences to Mark’s family. May your memories of the love between you and Mark help to comfort you now and in the days ahead. Reading Mark’s obituary brought to mind our close friendship during grade school, high school, and our semester at UW-O. We did a lot of hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and partying together in those years. Even though Mark is gone, I will always have those fond memories. Mark, Rest In Peace, my friend.
