Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Elizabeth “Betty” Hawksworth was born July 20, 1931, to Walter and Anna Kitchen. She lived in Omro with her family. She married Calvin Hawksworth on June 12, 1965, and they resided in Winneconne and welcomed three daughters. Betty served her family. She babysat for neighbors and worked as a CNA until retirement. Betty loved her grandchildren and found comfort being at home. Betty passed peacefully into the arms of her Jesus on November 29, 2022.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Susan (Doug) Watkins of La Crescent, MN; Lynda (Steve) Cottrell of Oshkosh, WI; and Patti Hawksworth of La Crosse, WI. She was loved and cherished by her four grandchildren: Lauren (Kalvin) Zygowicz, Cal (Danielle) Cottrell, Hannah Watkins, and Rafe (Taylor) Watkins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law, Carol Paynter and her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and her husband.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for the care they provided Betty in her last days. They would also like to thank Mueller Funeral Home for helping with arrangements. A private graveside service will be held in the future.
