Michael Allen Kramer of Winneconne died peacefully on December 8, 2022, surrounded by his family at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. He was 54 years old. Mike was born on October 30,1968, to Larry and Pat (Groskreutz) Kramer in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as the second of three children. Mike graduated from Winneconne High School in 1986 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Marion University to receive a bachelor’s degree. He also attended the Mercy Medical Center School of Radiological Technology where he met his wife, Lynn. For most of his professional career, Mike primarily worked at Mercy Medical Center as a manager and systems administrator. In later years, he worked part-time at Cardinal Health. Throughout his lifetime, Mike made many lifelong friends and was known for his great sense of humor and fun-loving personality. He loved sports, especially football and the Packers.

Mike married Lynn Purath on October 16, 1993, and later became the proud father of two sons, Brett and Scott. He devoted his adult life to his boys, supporting both their academic and athletic endeavors. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was fishing on the lake or watching sports together. Mike and Lynn enjoyed antiquing together, gardening, and taking trips to Eagle River. They had a mutual love of Jeopardy!. Above all, there was nothing Mike loved more in life than being a devoted father and husband.

Mike is survived by many loving family members: his wife Lynn, sons, Brett (Chloee) and Scott; mother, Pat; brother, Vance (Bobbie) Kramer; sister, Kris (Dan) Pamer; mother-in-law, Roberta Purath; and brothers-in-law, Jim (Lori) Purath, Alan (Laura) Purath, Steve (Cheryl) Purath. He was a cherished uncle to six nephews, Matt Kramer, Zach (Sarah) Pamer, Ben Pamer, Chris (Amanda) Purath, Jordan Purath, Ryan Purath; and six nieces, Tami Kramer-Dillman, Brooke (Hunter) Frank, Melissa (Alex) Moen, Stephanie (Jacob) Pearce, Jessica (Spencer) Foth, Samantha Purath. He also leaves behind many other close family relatives.

Preceding Mike in death were his father, Larry; and his father-in-law, Al. Together they rest in Heaven.

My thoughts are with the Kramer family. Mike was an exceptional man. He loved his family! You now have an angel watching over you. Grief never ends…..but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith…. it is the price of love! Look for “signs” as they will be everywhere!

Lynn and family, so sorry to hear about about Mike. I've been away almost 7 years now but can still hear Mike laughing at his desk while I worked in the adjacent reading room. Always brought a smile to my face. Just a great person to be around. I will miss him.
