Marilyn A. Gruetzmacher, age 88, of Omro, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh with her family by her side. She was born November 24, 1934, in the town of Rushford to the late Walter and Myrtle (Hess) Kallas. Marilyn was a graduate of Omro High School. On July 2, 1955, she married Robert Gruetzmacher at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. Marilyn worked in accounts payable for the Omro Care Center until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed helping out the community at the local food pantry and volunteering at church. Marilyn liked quilting, taking care of her garden, golfing, and taking care of her family.

Marilyn was loved by her whole family and is survived by three sons, Daniel Gruetzmacher, of Oshkosh; Kirk (Cindy) Gruetzmacher, of Redgranite; Jon (Tracy) Gruetzmacher, of Winneconne; grandchildren, Danelle (Brad) Karpinsky, Megan (Matt) Marchant, Kyle (Amanda) Gruetzmacher, Cory Gruetzmacher, Austin (Heather) Gruetzmacher, Bradley Gruetzmacher, Kevin (fiancée, Mia) Gruetzmacher, Steven (Michaela) Gruetzmacher, Addison Gruetzmacher, Rylie Gruetzmacher; great-grandchildren, Aerowynn, Gabby, Faryn, Alex, Aspen, Aiden, Kooper, Jade, Kaleb, Hudson; a brother, Wayne (Judy) Kallas, of Omro; sisters, Jeanne (Sherwyn) Danke, of Oshkosh; Shirley (Dick) Ceelen, of Oshkosh; Chris Hanke, of Oshkosh; sisters-in-law, Janet (Clyde) Friedman, of Deerfield, Illinois; Ruth (John) Clark, of Oshkosh; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Along with her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gruetzmacher; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Ruth Ann Kallas; and brother-in-law, Paul Hanke. 

A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 730 Madison Ave., Omro. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Kevin Ripley officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushford Cemetery.
