Miriam “Fritzie” Krueger, daughter of the late Hartwell and Wilma (Hanneman) Weidemann was born January 6, 1938, and quietly departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2023. Miriam was united in Holy matrimony to Lawrence C. Krueger on August 2, 1958, and together they raised their son, Larry, in the Village of Winneconne. She also worked outside the home and worked her way up before retiring from the Telephone company as a supervisor. She remained an active member of the Telephones volunteer network, Telephone Pioneers of America.

Miriam was passionate for music and loved sharing her passion with others by playing her violin in the Oshkosh Symphony and for the Inspiration Theatre. She was also an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winneconne where she once again was able to share her love by singing and directing the church choir. Besides music, Miriam loved to spend her time creating gorgeous counted cross stitch pieces of art, spending time at the family cabin assembling colorful puzzles when hunting was no longer possible.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Lawrence; son, Larry (Amy); grandchildren, Rachael Krueger, Ryan (Courtney) Krueger and Nikole (Ryan) Braun; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Kennedy Krueger, and Lilli and Levi Braun.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Kapalczynski; brothers, Duane and Hartwell “Skip” Weidemann; and a brother-in-law, Reinhold Russell Krueger.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Miriam’s life on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 8 S. 4th St. Winneconne, WI. Visitation will take place at the church between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. with a church service beginning at 11:00. Pastor Ben Berger will officiate. The celebration will continue after the committal service at the Winneconne Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at the church.

Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.

Your family is wonderful, full of kindness and serving graciouly; Miriam was such an example of the love that you all share. We spent many hours playing together, laughing and sharing stories! She made me a better player with her comments on how to finesse a musical passage with her violin. Though I didn't play my viola as well as she played her violin, she would encourage me to practice with the string section at her home and we all had a great time. Lawrence, Larry, and extended family I send my love, warm thoughts and a celebration of her beautiful life here and in heaven. Hugs! Cindy McGinnis

Dear Lawrence, Larry and family, God's light always shone through Miriam in her demeanor and music. I am sure God is enjoying the beautiful violin she is playing in heaven. May He comfort you in knowing we will all be together again in heaven.
