We are saddened to announce Julie Beth (Olson) Kromm, of Omro, was called to her heavenly-home on February 11, 2023. Julie was born to Ruebin “Chub” and Lois Olson on October 20, 1958. She grew up in Larsen, WI and graduated from Neenah High School in 1977. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree, which led to a 35-year career at Ascension Medical Group as a Medical Laboratory Technician. 

On October 30, 1982, Julie married the love of her life Edward “Ed” Kromm. The two would go on to have over four decades of wedded bliss, raising their four children in Omro. She was a kind-hearted, humble, hard-working lady, with an understated wit and great sense of humor. Julie loved being a mom and even more a Moma/Nana to her grandchildren. Julie once told her children if she could have skipped the parent stage, she would have just become a grandma. 

Outside of family and work, Julie had a love for sewing and crafting, she could easily be found up in her sewing room working on her latest projects. Julie had an affinity for music which was expressed through singing in her church choir. At home she could be heard belting along to the likes of John Denver, Elvis, and Dolly Parton to name a few. She enjoyed thrift store shopping, rummage sales, and a good pair of fuzzy socks. 

Julie is survived by her children: Stephanie Kromm, Kari Ann (Brad) Bathke, Nick Kromm, and Laura (Avery) Fields; and her four grandchildren, Jack and Johnny Hawkins and Devin and Evelyn Fields. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Beverly Kromm; her siblings, Donna (Todd) Allen, James Olson; sister-in-law, Kathy (Randy) Crawford; former sister-in-law, Annie (Jim) Landreth; and brother-in-law, Daniel (Lynn) Kromm. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ed Kromm; parents, Chub and Lois Olson; father-in-law, Daniel Kromm; and sister-in-law, Ramona Kromm. 

A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave, Omro. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 17 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Mark Wenzel officiating. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery.
