Debra Lynn (Bouras) Armstrong, age 62, passed away Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, after a long battle of cancer. She was born January 9, 1961, in Oshkosh, WI to Angelo and Patricia Bouras. She married her husband, David Armstrong, in October of 1983.

Deb loved to be the life of the party and brought the sunshine into any room she entered. She had a loving heart and compassion that brought any group of people together. Deb had the hard work ethic to complete any task she set her mind to, like remodeling the house or learning a new language while still making sure her family was a number one priority. One of Deb’s greatest gifts was her love for cooking and making sure everyone around her had a belly full of food and laughter.

For many years recently Deb worked at the Neuroscience Group in a number of different roles. Her favorite part of her job was interacting with the patients. Whether at work or in her personal life she made it her goal to know and remember the people she interacted with. She made sure everyone felt seen and lived her life faithfully living by God’s word. Her devotion can be seen how she lived following scripture such as Matthew 5:8, Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Debra is survived by: her husband of 40 years, David Armstrong; her mother, Patricia Bouras; her brothers, Michael (Kathy) Bouras, Marc Bouras; her children, Anthony (Stefanie) Armstrong, Rebecca (Mathew) Thistle; her grandchildren, Ryleigh and Rhett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Debra in death was her father, Angelo Bouras.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

We are so very sorry for the loss of such a beautiful, loving soul. Every time we’d run into Deb she’d be sure to greet us with a big smile and a hug, and we’d share info on life’s events…..especially our children and grandchildren…..who lit up her world. She was truly an inspiration, and I take comfort knowing that she is resting safely in God’s arms. Sending our love and deepest condolences to you all??

What a wonderful human being taken from us too soon. That cancer battle was a tough fight, but God had other plans. We have great memories to share of a short life well lived.

A loss like Deb's is heartbreaking; I got the pleasure of working with Deb for the past 3 years. She always had a smile on her face and was always laughing, I can still hear her saying "Good Morning Ladies" as she came walking back through the surgery dept. It was hard not to be in a good mood when Deb was around, she just always knew how to make people laugh/smile. Deb was one of the sweetest women I've known and was always so caring and heartfelt with patients. We are truly going to miss her smile, laughter and presence at Neuroscience Group. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they go through this difficult time.
