Allen taught Space Science in high schools all over the United States, working for NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Allen and Patricia were married in February of 1979 and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1980. In Arizona they entered the world of rental property management, 93 apartments for the same owner. They retired in 2004 and bought a 35' motor home and went full time RVing. They visited all eleven provinces of Canada, Yukon Territory and Alaska and most of Mexico. Allen and Patricia would manage RV parks along the way where they also managed the Elks Lodge of Tempe, AZ. each winter.  Allen loved to cook! He is the author of a cookbook titled “Half the Fun of Eating is Cooking.”

He will be remembered for his positive attitude “There's good in everything. Just find it.” Allen also loved to hunt and fish and had the good fortune of doing this all over the United States and Canada. After Patricia's journey to Heaven in 2008, Allen continued traveling until 2012 when he moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family and friends. God’s promise is that there will never be darkness that does not end. Rejoice in the promise that I will be waiting to be with all of you again.

To Allen's family... So sorry to read about the passing of dad. Even though I haven't seen Allen since our younger years growing up in Shawano, WI I remember what a nice person he was. May the fond memories you have of your time together ease the pain in your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you...
