Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Rex Albert Larsen, 74, of Oshkosh, WI died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from injuries sustained in a fall at his home. His departure was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Rex was born on September 4, 1949, in Oshkosh to Kenneth and Winnie Larsen. He attended Omro High School and married Karen (Weidner) and moved to Oshkosh where they had two children, Dennis and Dana. Since 1986 Rex and Daryl Dietz have been partners and were married in 2014.
Rex worked at Mercury Marine for over 20 years before leaving to work at The Oshkosh Pool & Spa Center with his son.
Rex was very social and loved spending time with friends and relatives playing golf, sheepshead, and of course cribbage. Anyone that knew Rex, knew that he was loving and caring and did anything for his grandchildren. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at First Congregational Church 137 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the church with Pastor Nancy Taylor officiating. A reception will follow.
Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish please submit online condolences/memories to muellerfh.net.
