Allan “Al” Ebben, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, surrounded by family at his home in Winneconne, WI. He will be remembered by all who met him. Al never hesitated to help family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, yard work, sitting in his backyard with family and friends, and his coffee meetings with the guys at The Landing.

Al was born on February 19, 1944, in Little Chute, WI, to Simon and Cecelia (DeWildt) Ebben. He graduated St. Johns School Little Chute in 1962. After graduation, he worked at Thilmany’s. In 1969, he was drafted to Vietnam to serve our country. After returning home, he was a dedicated truck driver for Roundy’s and later Conway Central Express.

Al will be missed dearly by the people whose lives he touched greatly including his loving wife of 34 years, Deb; his daughter, Jamie (Ebben) Brewe; his four granddaughters, Ashley, Alexis, Alyssa (Keith), and Alivia; two great-grandsons; and three siblings, Ruth Harp, Mary Anne (Jerome) Gehl, and Elaine Rathsack.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his son, Scott Ebben; his brothers, Don and Jim; his sisters, Elaine, Eunice, and Sheila; his brothers-in-law, Roger, Marv, and Tom; and father-in-law, Marv Broehm.

Al’s family would like to give special thanks to the kind and caring staff at ThedaCare At Home Hospice, who made it possible to spend precious time with family and friends in his final days.

A celebration of life with military honors will be held at a later date.

Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish, please submit your online condolences and memories of Al at muellerfh.net.
