William J. Jensen, age 91, of Neenah, was joyously called home to his Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

He was born on April 16, 1932, son of Adelbert and Grace (Schindler) Jensen and raised on the home farm in the Town of Vinland. He attended Mears schools near his home and graduated from Neenah High School. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska, worked at Jake Otto Dairy as a cheesemaker, at Neenah Paper as a Millwright (until his retirement) which is where he met the love of his life. On November 17, 1956, Bill married her, Mary Dordel, at Trinity Lutheran Church where they continued to be very faithful members and made many friends. The two did everything together until her death in 2022. Bill loved listening to polka music on Saturday and Sunday a.m., helping during hay time on the family farm with his brothers and their families, playing sheepshead and cribbage, keeping in touch with old friends/coworkers and neighbors, their fall pumpkin hobby, and riding around the countryside usually stopping in for visits along the way. He was very grateful and appreciative of everyone and let you know as you left, “Thank you for everything”.

Bill had a great love for his family, especially his three sons, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Together they never missed any of their events, always stopped in for visits or cherished visits from any of them, and always offered his help with anything going on in any of their lives.

Bill is survived by three sons and their families,  Jim (Sue) and children, Will (Kirsten) Jensen children Adrielle and Liam; Jamie (Zack) Stephens, Jordan (Steph) Jensen;  Joe (Deb) children, Brittany (Tyler), children, Beaudee, Brynlee, Braedee and Berklee Ernst; Brad (Renee) Jensen, their son, Brock; Morgann Jensen and Emilee Jensen;  Jerry (Kim) children Rhienna Gabriel, Bethany (Garett) Neff, their sons, Cole and Caleb; Kaurista Jensen (special friend, Sebastian). He is also survived by his brother, Daryl (Gwen) Jensen; brother-in-law, Sam Dordel; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Shirley Dordel, Janice Jensen; and many other godchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Harold and Esther Dordel; a granddaughter, MyKayla Jensen; brothers and sisters-in-law Adelbert “Junior” and Betty Jensen, Tom and Georgia “Babe” Jensen, and Donald Jensen; sisters-in-law, Alice Dordel, Lani Dordel; brothers-in-law, Harold and David Dordel.

We would like to thank the kind and caring staffs of the Valley VNA Assisted Living and ThedaCare at Home Hospice.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St. Neenah. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Douglas Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church and Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Philippians 1:22,23 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain… I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.

Jerry and family - sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with your Dad in the Maintenance Department at Neenah Paper. We always had good conversations. He was very proud of his sons.

I worked with Bill at Neenah Paper. He sure was a super nice guy, and very friendly. Prayers of comfort, for his family at this time.
