Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Russell L. Young, age 90 of Waupaca, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side.
Russ was born in New London on July 25, 1927, son of the late Edward and Myra (Dietzler) Young.
Russ was a kind and unpretentious man. He had a very successful career that spanned over 60 years as a developer and building contractor.
He made his home with wife Barbara at The Villas of Waupaca, a development currently under construction.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Russ is survived by his son, Gene (Robbie), Winneconne; his daughter, Suzanne (Steve), Las Vegas; grandchildren, Gina (Dominic), Nicole, Jeremy (Emily), Troy (Callie), and Devon. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Lowney; a brother, Gary (Yvonne); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Joanne Winnekens, Jeff and Anne Baldwin, Duke and Karen Truttman, Mark Winnekens, and Galen Winnekens. He is further survived by beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives, and special friends, Don and Patti Weiland.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry; grandson, Chad; and brother-in-law, Bill.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Tom Long and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Winneconne Cemetery.

A man we love, we admire, a forever friend, a generous, kind, caring, sweet man, a man we never wanted to say goodbye to but have to.... for now.... Russ was a great man new him for many yr's when I worked for Kenndy Hahn Appliance .I'M so glad that we got together on the fourth it was a great day .
