Roy G. Peterson, 89, of the Town of Vinland passed away Monday June 10, 2024. He was born May 21, 1935, in Stevens Point, WI to the late Gerald and Eva Mary (Letwon) Peterson. In 1954 Roy graduated from Neenah High School. He joined the Army National Guard and served with the Red Arrow Division through the Berlin Crisis.

On October 20, 1962, married Dolores Schueler at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Roy retired after 44 years from James River, formerly American Can, working in the Research Lab, while also carrying on the family pest control business. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Winneconne and active in the Knights of Columbus for many years in the Neenah and Winneconne Councils. Later he was a member of St. Michael’s Church in DePere. Roy and Dolores gave their time working for the Salvatorian Missions, New Holstein.

He is survived by daughters; Rosemary Roth, Elizabeth (Tom) Kelling, Bonnie (Dan) Barzano, Molly Peterson; sons, Raymond Peterson (Patty Winkler), Paul Peterson; eight grandchildren, Robert (Nicole) Roth, Terri Roth, Laura (Tom) Schley and Michelle Roth, Clarice and Elaine Kelling, Corrine (Tim) Rausch, and Samantha Nagler; brother, Gary (Linda) Peterson; sisters-in-law, Mary Schueler, Virginia Chenier, and Karen (Jim) Langedyke, nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dolores; twin infant sons, Roger and Rodney; sister, Marie Meyers; brothers-in-law, George Meyers, Edwin “Butch” Schueler, Duaine Chenier; and nephew, Michael Meyers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday June 27, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main Street Winneconne. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with military honors to follow at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8 South 4th Street Winneconne. Interment will be in the Allenville Cemetery.
