Celeste Ann Morden (née Chavez), age 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Born on July 1, 1956, in Tucson, Arizona, Celeste spent her formative years in Milwaukee, where she graduated from Bay View High School.

Celeste's career was marked by her warmth and efficiency while serving as a receptionist at Morden Podiatry Clinic and later at Aurora Medical Clinic. Beyond her professional life, Celeste was a passionate sailor, a hobby she embraced in her 40s, finding joy and a sense of community with her sailing family aboard the TARDIS.

A vibrant spirit, Celeste was known for dancing in her kitchen and her love for HGTV and cooking shows. She was a collector of magazines and cookbooks, which fueled her culinary adventures and telling her husband Jim which meals to cook at home for the family. Her love for travel was especially evident on her trips to Oklahoma. Celeste loved to spend time with her grandchildren in Winneconne and Wilson, Oklahoma.

Celeste is survived by her loving husband, James Morden; children, Denisha (Phillip) Cumpton, James R. (Chelsea) Morden, and Evan Morden; grandchildren, Hunter, Leah, Anthony, Tessa, Ryker, and Avianna; and great-granddaughter, Everly. She also leaves behind siblings Daniel (Patty), Cecilia, Robert, Celina (Jeffery), and Camille; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Celeste was preceded in death by her parents, Maria (Lujan) and Roy Chavez; and in-laws, Dr. Thomas R. and Mary Ann Morden.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Fr. Tom Long and Deacon Paul Vidmar officiating. Following Mass, burial will be in the Winneconne Cemetery, and a lunch will then be held in Kaudy Hall (adjacent to the church).

Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish, please submit online condolences/memories to muellerfh.net.

Celeste's life was a testament to her joyous spirit and the deep love she held for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
