Don O. Gabrilska of Rural Omro passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Don was born on September 11, 1937, on the family farm in Rushford Township to Henry and Clara Gabrilska and is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce; and two sons, Warren (Connie) and Clark.

Don attended Knoll School for 8 years and graduated from Omro High School in 1955. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps – something he was very proud of all his days. He returned to the Omro area and worked at Speed Queen in Omro as a Die Caster for 37 years.

He had a great love of pheasant and duck hunting, spending many days tramping the woods and marshes in the area and he had a great love of travel. The family took extensive summer road trips and Don and Joyce took many trips to Europe and the Caribbean, which they enjoyed tremendously. Don and Joyce also loved to polka dance and attended many dances around Wisconsin through the years.

Due to Don’s wishes, there will be no services.

Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish, please submit online condolences/memories to muellerfh.net.
