Jeannette L. Carpenter, age 75, of Pine River, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on August 17, 1949, in Marquette County, Wisconsin. On November 22, 1990, Jeannette married Mark Carpenter in Pine River. For many years she worked as a housekeeper for the Berlin Memorial Hospital, and she also cared for her parents as their health declined. Jeannette loved to take care of children and make blankets for area nursing homes. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and volunteering at her church, Saxeville Community Church, in the food pantry, despite her failing health.
Jeannette is survived by her husband, Mark; five stepchildren, Anthony (Teresa), Scott, Brian (Kate), Jennifer, and Devin; ten step-grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia Schneider; a nephew, Shawn Hoffman; three brothers-in-law, David Carpenter, Steve (Chris) Carpenter and Kurt (Maureen) Carpenter; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Sylvia Hoffman.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St., Winneconne. Burial will be in the Rushford Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
