Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Anna Mae Wirch, 90, of Omro, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Webster Manor in Omro. She was born at home in the Town of Omro on May 6, 1934, to the late Daniel and Anna (Franz) Ristow. Anna Mae was a graduate of Omro High School. On June 2, 1956, she married Fred Wirch Jr. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winneconne; the church she was a member of her entire life.
Anna Mae is survived by three children, Cynthia (Michael) Koehler, Steven Wirch, Andrew (Debra) Wirch; six grandchildren, Erin (Dave), Beth, Rory, Gabriella, Isabella, Ariella; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Irene Ristow, Eunice and Lester Fritz, Marie Wirch, Jack and Mary Wirch; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Anna Mae was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wirch Jr.; a son, Karl Wirch; brothers, Robert, Harvey, and William Ristow; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred Sr. and Fern Wirch; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Karen Wirch, Harold Wirch.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church 8 S. 4th St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Ben Berger officiating. Interment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for Fox Valley Lutheran High School scholarships.
